In this project I used DAP 3.0 self-leveling concrete & masonry sealant. I've got numerous cracks in my patio and driveway. I was in need of some concrete crack repair. There are several steps to this repair.
First, concrete prep includes removing uneven lips or edges. Next, excessive gaps or holes in the subsurface need to be filled to prevent excessive use of product. A great product for this use is backer rod. Another common remedy is the use of sand.
Next, I capped off the ends to prevent spill-out. I applied the self-leveling sealant and let it cure. It has a rubbery texture when set up. This should allow for expansion and contraction from seasonal weather changes. In our time of use this product has held up very well under use.
